Ensenada has excelent waves in its coasts, ideal to practice this sport. The city has several places to practice , from beginners to professionals, some of these beaches perfect for practice are: San Miguel, Tres Emes, Stacks, El Pico, Playa Hermosa and Todos Santos. In the year 2008 these beaches were visited by great surfers worldwide in the Nacional Surf Games presented by the Australian brand Billabong. Every year there are different competitions locally and internationally to celebrate this sport.

In the city of Ensenada you can do sport fishing, because its located in the Pacific coast. Throughout the year you can fish species like: tuna, barracuda, corvina, dorado, jurel, bacalao, marlin, amonst others. In 2021 there was a competition ¨Pescando por Ensenada¨, and every year there are a couple of fishing tournaments in different cities of the city.

In Baja California and specially in Ensenada is one of the most important places to do off road events such as Baja 1000, Baja 500, and Baja 250. These attract thousands of tourists excited to see these modified cars that go through different cities and the desserts throught almost non existing roads. There are different vehicle categories, the great sponsors of these teams do an exhibition event where fans can have access and meet their favorite drivers and take pictures. In Ensenada there is a mixture of traditional mexican food and seafood, although the specialty of the city are the famous fish tacos, other dishes that stand out are lobster with big fresh hand made flour tortillas, sea ​​urchin on toasted tortilla, abalone ceviche, and oysters, and even firewood pizza and beef cuts.
