Sierra San Pedro Martir National Park
Baja California has a great variety of flora and fauna within its beautiful and unique natural landscapes, among which is the Sierra San Pedro Martir National Park.
Located in the north of the Baja California Peninsula, in the municipality of Ensenada, is the highest orographic complex of the Peninsula.
The weather may vary differing between semi-dry and semi-arid depending on whether is the low or high part of the Park. Due to changes in the weather the Park presents, it is recommended to be visited between May and September.
Home of about 142 plant species such as mixed conifer forest, pine forest, pine, fir, and chaparral. Also, you can find other species like mule deer of Baja California, the California condor, bighorn sheep, foxes, squirrels, rabbits, among others.
The Sierra San Pedro Martir National Park offers activities like rappel, hiking, biking, climbing, kayaking. Also, there is a scenic overlook located 9 miles from the Park entrance where you can appreciate the landscape and, if the weather conditions allow it, the Gulf of California.
If you want to spend a weekend surrounded by the beauty of this unique nature Baja California has, there is also a cabin area and four camping areas.
