Born in Ensenada, fish tacos are the typical food. Fish (shark) or schrimp tender fillet fried in lard served with a shredded cabbage topping along with different types of salsas, like pico de gallo, habanero, among others. You can also have an agua de horchata or jamaica to go with your tacos.
You sure can’t leave Ensenada without trying them. The recommended place for fish tacos is Tacos El fenix located at the corner of Espinoza Street and Juárez Avenue.

Ceviche La Guerrerense
In the corner of Primera Street and Alvarado Avenue you will find ‘cevichería La Guerrerense’. It is a well known food cart of fresh, daily brought, seafood where you can find seafood cocktails, and of course, their specialty: tostadas de ceviche.
Best known for its variety of homemade very spicy salsas made by ‘Doña Sabina’ like: mango salsa, spicy peanut sauce, cucumber salsa, among others.
Gradually, Sabina inovated at La Guerrerense creating more than thirteen different salsas, product of her creativity, completely organic and without preservatives where she even grows some of the chilis used for its preparation.
This famous cevicheria is selected by some of the best chefs in the world to appear in the book ‘Where chefs eat’.
