Score Baja 1000 and its 45th anniversary.

From November 14th to November 17th the two states that comprise the Baja California Peninsula are going to combine their beautiful landscapes, the hospitality of the people, and their love for speed to celebrate the 45th anniversary of the “Off Road Tecate Score Baja 1000”.
Racing drivers such as RobMacCachern, Bryce Menzies, Tavo Vildósola, Tim Herbst, and B.J. Balwin among others will meet November 13th to finalize the last details. The next day the teams will proceed with the checking-in and exhibition of their powerful machines in front of racing enthusiasts who live the passion of the greatest off-road race.
The starting signal, like the previous years, will be outside the former Riviera Hotel on November 15th. The motorcycle and ATV classes will start at 6:30a.m. and approximately four hours later the cars and trucks will continue. All of the teams and racers will all show their courage and driving skills and will try to be the first to arrive at the finish line in La Paz.
During this year the Score association only scheduled four dates to allow for teams and racers to prepare themselves and practice for the Baja 1000. In early October there was a drawing which announced the starting positions for the 41 categories of cars, trucks and atv’s that will travel 1,117 miles with extreme speed, adrenaline and determination in this year’s 45th anniversary Baja 1000. The Baja 1000 is considered to be one of the oldest and most famous desert races in the world, with an aim to bring world class drivers from various countries to compete in an event that is full of adventure and unbeatable terrain. Sal Fish, the coordinator of the event, announced in the last count that there are 285 contestants from Norway, Canada, Argentina, Australia, Austria, Hungrier, Denma rk, Finland, France, Great Britain, Guatemala, Ireland, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Germany, Egypt, and United States. All of them are looking for the fame that this race can bring them if they cross the finish line first. There are various prizes to race for such as the Iron Rider, Score Toyota Milestone, MasterCraft Safety Score Rookie or the bag with 400,000 dlls.
