A walk thru 1st Street

In last posts we shared with you information about the Costero Boulevard and all you can find in this street, now it is the turn for the Adolfo Lopez Mateos street well known as 1st street. This famous street was recently remodeled and it is maybe the most traditional street in Ensenada. There you can find many attractions craft stores, typical regional outfits, Mexican candies, deli restaurants, fine jewelry, nightclubs and a large variety of souvenirs. This street has been scenery for events such as “El festival del hongo”. The first section of this street was thought with our tourists in mind that is why most of the restaurants have a terrace area. Since Ensenada has a beautiful weather through all the year, you can have a delicious meal while enjoying a colorful panorama, sometimes accompanied with Mariachi music.

Those who are looking for cultural activities will find the Regional Museum of Baja California one of the oldest buildings in the state. Built in 1886 it was used like a military base, a hospital, a school and a prison. It has 4 exhibition areas where shows the history of Baja California, Ensenada and the building itself as a military base.

This is a street full of activities and definitely a must visit in Ensenada.
