If you are interested in the wine culture and wish to learn more about it, Ensenada is the best option to do it. Because of special features like the climate, type of land and location the northern of Baja California is the biggest producer of Mexican wine, primarily in the Guadalupe Valley just a few minutes away from the city of Ensenada.

The municipality of Ensenada is home of the Guadalupe, San Antonio de las Minas, Santo Tomas, San Vicente and Ojos Negros wine valleys, that create the famous “Wine Route”. There you can visit vineyards, learn about the process to make gourmet and artisan wines as well as savor their cuisine cooked with ingredients produced in the region. In the “Wine Route” you will find several wineries, restaurants, hotels, wine shops, craft centers, campsites, among others in a modest or luxurious environment.



From the ancient Greece celebrations are held in reverence to Dionysus, the god of wine, and Ensenada is not the exception with a wide variety of festivals and celebrations related with this topic like the “Harvest Festival” in August, where Ensenada’s people enjoy the harvest activities along with musical and folkloric events.
