Fishing in Ensenada

There is no doubt that if you visit the city, one experience you must live is a fishing trip. For those who are interested in this sport, Ensenada offers Sportfishing along its shores throughout the year thanks to its fabulous climate.  This city “Has gained the reputation for being easily accessible to year-round inshore and spectacular offshore sportfishing over the past 60 years”[1]. Also this city offers wide services like tours, marinas and launch ramps that will help you to make this adventure unforgettable.

Practice inshore fishing during the cold months and the offshore fishing during the warmer months, having the opportunity of catching one of the many species that it offers as barracuda bonito, halibut, mackerel, corvina, tuna, yellowtail among others (See the fishing calendar). You can even practice from the edge of the beach, a kayak, boat or yacht.

The glory fishing days of Ensenada were during the 1950’s when it was called “Yellowtail Capital of the world” where anglers and tourists met to enjoy this wonderful sport.

It is important to get the Mexican Fish License if you want to take this experience; it is valid everywhere in Mexico and is granted by periods of a week, month or even a year. Also during the tour you can enjoy the fresh sea breeze and admire the beautiful Todos Santos Bay.
