Off Road Experience (Baja 500)

Adrenaline is what you experience in the Baja Races (Baja 250, Baja500 and Baja 1000). These are off road races where special modified vehicles, from motorcycles to trucks, take part in the competition. This extreme sport is one, from a wide variety, that comes to our minds when we think about Ensenada and Baja California.
On June 3rd will start the 43rd edition of the traditional Baja 500 in which the racers make a journey of almost 500 miles. The race starts and finishes at the port of Ensenada, Baja California. With abrupt and unexpected conditions, rough roads between rocks, forests, deserts and areas that need perfect coordination and concentration to keep direction and avoid any accident or mechanical damage the racers pass throughout the towns and villages of “Ojos Negros”, “Valle de la Trinidad”, “Sierra de Juárez” (National Park 1857 Constitution), “Ejido Erendira” among others.
The activities of this event start on Friday 3rd with the registration and the technical inspection well known as “La Revisión”. On this day all the vehicles go through a technical inspection where the organizers make sure that all the vehicles are under the established rules; but also this event is a big pre-race party full of music, food and refreshing beverages prepared for racers and fans. After this big event the next morningis when the race begins at 6:00 am starting with the motorcycles and at 10:00am with the rest of the ATV.
You can enjoy this event in two ways, the first one is being one of the racers competing to finish the race with the best overall time, the second one is being one of the spectators with the excitement of watching this monster vehicles go through very difficult paths at high speed and giving an amazing spectacle. There are several secure spots to watch the race so be safe and do not forget to follow the authority instructions in order to prevent any accident.
There is no doubt that the Off Road activities are a tradition that everyone looks forward to experience.
