Sea kayaking is an activity that takes place in open waters of lakes, bays and oceans. Enjoyed by children and grownups as well, that can be practiced in groups or alone. Definitely it’s an activity that you can practice in the Baja California coasts in both the Cortez Sea or in the Pacific Ocean side.
Baja offers you spectacular and exciting routes for sea kayaking for both beginners and experts. In Ensenada the most visited and recommended places for kayaking begin at the south of the city in Punta Banda, some well known places are La Bufadora and Arbolitos where you can explore sea caves and enjoy a beautiful view, and the one you cannot miss is the Todos Santos Island where you can watch the magnificent grey whale if it is migration season.
For those who are not familiar with this sport but are interested in getting the experience, there are businesses in Ensenada that offer kayaks tours; these can include transportation, accomodations, equipment, programs of 1 day, 1 weekend or 1 week and more. And for those that kayaking is already part of their lives, there are different access points where they can start this adventure like the launching ramp at Hotel Coral & Marina.
A kayak ride is an experience you must enjoy in Baja California Norte and that allows you to be in closer contact with the Nature.
